A paid internship at Fortivus gives you valuable, real-world work experience to prepare you for a full-time career with us. We have opportunities in risk management operations, investment operations, and as a Financial Representative intern. You will have the opportunity to build your confidence, develop a professional network, and change people’s lives by helping them achieve financial freedom.
Risk Management Operations Internship Description:
- Support the Financial Advisor in various activities of the sales cycle for non-securities products.
- Shadow in the completion of insurance applications.
- Shadow in arranging medical, paramedical, and any exams necessary for underwriting.
- Monitor Life, Disability, and Long-Term Care applications throughout the underwriting process.
- Track Policy Delivery Requirements and Deliveries.
Wealth Management (Investment) Operations Internship Description:
- Assist in preparing account opening paperwork.
- Assist in creating proposals.
- Shadow advisor with interactions with clients.
- Learn how the markets work.
- Learn all the various investment vehicles out there.
Planning Associate Internship Description:
- Build and deepen your knowledge and skill set by maintaining an in-depth understanding of financial planning, investments, and tax planning.
- Gather and analyze financial information, including income, expenses, assets, and liabilities, to assist in the development of comprehensive financial plans.
- Assess clients' current financial situations and future needs to develop customized strategies for achieving their goals.
Financial Representative Internship Description:
- Start building the foundation in finance, insurance, and sales that will help you deliver excellent financial security to your clients.
- Acquire Life and Accident license in the state of PA (company sponsored).
- Help you master our personalized planning process to provide financial solutions tailored to each client’s needs over his or her lifetime.
- This opportunity is primarily commission based but also includes a weekly stipend and bonuses.
- Participate in ongoing training as assigned, including role playing exercises to develop communication skills, language mastery and sales knowledge.
- Track daily activity including dialing, meetings kept, and introductions.
- Build and maintain own book of business through high activity, including prospecting.
Are you a fit for this Internship?
- Full-time student: Juniors and Seniors preferred.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Interest in comprehensive financial planning.
- 20 hours a week–June, July, and August. Additional hours may be available throughout the year.
